Laptop Battery Express Reviews: Legit or Risky Buy?

"This could have been a much better experience... I ordered a replacement battery for my HP laptop. I returned the battery to NewEgg a week later. The part number matched what I ordered online but the battery didn't fit into my laptop. From the website there was very little info on the replacement battery other than an out of focus picture. If the website had listed for example the measurements, I would have surmised that the battery online was not going to fit my laptop. I ordered and received another battery with the same exact part number from a competitor and the new replacement battery works well."

"Disappointing. Not sure who is to blame on this - when I ordered my laptop battery replacement through New Egg, I presumed that they would be shipping the item. Apparently that is not the case. Order process was fine, but when the item was delivered I noticed that the box was the wrong shape for what I had ordered. When I opened the box, I discovered the packing slip and item were incorrect - the label on my box was correct, but they had shipped someone else's order to me. There was no contact information for Laptop Battery Express, so I then initiated a return through New Egg, shipped the item back and assumed I was going to be sent the correct part. I was pretty clear in the return process that is what I wanted. Instead, New Egg issued a refund - so now I have to start all over again. Needless to say, I will be looking for another vendor to supply the needed part as I don't have the time to waste on another attempt."

"Listing was very misleading by seller...cheap aftermarket part sold...OEM HP product image. I do not recommend this seller. Misleading listing. OEM HP image in listing but when product arrived it was a cheap aftermarket part for 3 times the price it should have been. If I had known it was NOT OEM, I would have purchased the part directly from HP. This experience has taught me a lesson to NOT use newegg in the future. I will find a new source for my PC parts. The disappointing issue is I had to use the subpar part to get my PC working for an urgent project, when I could have had an OEM part for $10 more from HP. I have no idea how long it will last."
